Start by scheduling your free 30-minute Discovery Call! During your call, we'll talk about your needs, goals, and interests and if it feels like a good fit, we'll discuss next steps.

+ What should I expect in a session?

Generally speaking, what brings you to your practice will inform how we structure our approach.

Overall, private classes integrate a combination of poses, breath work, sprinklings of yoga philosophy, and mindfulness techniques, tailored to you and your needs.

Somedays a flow-based Vinyasa practice, which links a series of poses together with the breath, is exactly what you'll need. Other days, a more restorative approach may be called for, in which case your practice will incorporate a mixture of Yin and Restorative postures, which are held for longer and often incorporate a variety of props that can be ordered, found around the home, or brought to you if you have an in-person practice.

There will also be opportunities to focus on one posture, concept, or pain point, workshop-style, with time for demos and dialogue. And if you're interested, myofascial release can be woven into any practice, using a tennis, lacrosse, or massage ball.

Occasionally optional "homework" will be offered to do outside of sessions, as an opportunity to work on something specific that was covered in class.

+ What do I need to practice?

Technology: For virtual sessions, you'll need access to a device that connects to the internet and allows you to download and run Zoom. Depending on where you practice, wireless headphones may be useful.

Space: A quiet, mat-sized space with a firm floor.

Props: If you are in a position to invest, a yoga mat, strap, woven yoga blanket, and two foam or cork blocks are recommended, A round bolster and a sandbag are nice-to-haves for restorative yoga postures. It’s also 100% possible to improvise props with common household items like hardback books, soup cans, belts, firm blankets, furniture, towels, pillows, etc. As long as you have a quiet, mat-sized space and a desire to practice, we will make it work!

Attire: Comfortable clothing suitable for movement.
